Bristol
Bristol carries two production reputations at once: Aardman Animations built its stop-motion name here, and the BBC Natural History Unit has made the city the world capital of wildlife filmmaking. Around both sits an aerospace industry anchored by Airbus and a strong independent documentary scene that keeps its own production houses busy. Few UK cities pack that much specialist craft into one place. We are not competing with any of it: we work from the Canary Islands, on the same clock as the UK, for the brands and agencies who commission out of Bristol and need an AI-native option alongside the city's traditional strengths.
What we produce
Storyboards, animation, product content and live action + AI, all built from an agreed brief. Schedule and deliverables are set for each project.
We plan the narrative shot by shot, with art direction and approval criteria agreed in the brief before production begins.
See the service →We create animated campaign, explainer and brand pieces from an approved visual system; revision stages and deliverables are set out in the proposal.
See the service →We use product photography or supplied materials to create imagery and channel variants, with fidelity checks agreed before production.
See the service →We combine filmed footage and generation to extend locations, periods or difficult scenes, choosing the right technique for each shot.

Remote direction and post-production
Bristol's reputation rests on Aardman's stop-motion, the BBC Natural History Unit's wildlife films and an aerospace industry built up around Airbus, with a strong independent documentary scene running through all three. It is a city that takes craft seriously, and we are not claiming a seat at Aardman's bench or in the Natural History Unit's edit suites. The briefing is a call, revisions happen on a phone, delivery is a link, and a Bristol address adds little to any of that. This is how we work internationally.
AI video production, internationalThe process
Before production starts, we document the scope, approval milestones and project terms.
We review objectives, audience, references, source materials, channels and constraints. The proposal defines scope, schedule, revision stages, formats and rights before production starts.
The first tangible material, a storyboard or style tests, to validate before producing. Changes happen here, where they are cheap.
Generation, editing and finishing under human direction, with approval points and revision stages defined for the project.
We deliver masters in the agreed formats and document permitted uses and applicable licences in the proposal and contract.
| Project variable | How it is defined |
|---|---|
| Scope and deliverables | In the brief and proposal |
| Schedule and milestones | According to complexity, source materials and approvals |
| Revision stages and formats | In writing before production |
| Rights and licences | In the proposal and contract |
These variables are agreed for each commission; projects with different needs do not share one universal schedule, revision allowance, format package or licence.
The proof
We show commissioned work, studio production and independent concepts with the status of each piece stated clearly, rather than presenting every sample as client work.

We used AI to rebuild the 1971 eruption from footage that was never filmed, published for an institutional client.

Client: LightBridges
A product-content system built from real source material, with brand and product fidelity used as approval criteria. Scope, channel variants and deliverables are defined in the proposal.
Case studyHonesty first
We weight this section the same as the sales case because it keeps both of us away from a bad brief. A piece built around a real face and a sustained performance, a spokesperson, a testimonial, a celebrity, belongs with a traditional shoot, and we will say so on the first call. Live events and observational documentary sit outside our lane too: that needs a camera, judgement and a person physically present. If a brand's guidelines rule out generative AI outright, we do not push back. And if the real constraint is distribution rather than production, changing the production approach will not change the outcome: that budget belongs in media.
