The Volcano Route is one of the most imposing trails in the Canary Islands: seventeen kilometres crossing the volcanic ridge of La Palma, from Refugio El Pilar to Fuencaliente, over flows of black lava that redefine the very concept of landscape.

The piece starts from aerial footage credited to BeeDron Record, an aerial cinematography company in the Canary Islands. EficiencIAl Studio directed a shot-by-shot AI layer over that material: foreground birds, generated transitions and visual reconstructions of eruptions, lava flows, ash columns and cooling rock.

The result moves between the present landscape and a visual interpretation of its geological origin. Editing, colour and effects treat the real footage and generative reconstruction as one narrative proposal without presenting the recreation as a historical record.
