What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on the user's device (computer, mobile phone, tablet) when they visit them. These files allow the site to remember information about the visit, such as preferred language or other settings, with the aim of facilitating the browsing experience and making the site work more efficiently.

There are different types of cookies according to their purpose, origin, and duration:

  • By purpose: technical/necessary, preferences, analytics or statistics, and marketing or advertising.
  • By origin: first-party (issued by the website itself) or third-party (issued by external domains).
  • By duration: session (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent (remain for a defined period).
02

Applicable regulatory framework

This Cookies Policy is drafted in compliance with the following regulations:

  • Art. 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce, which requires the user's informed consent for the use of cookies that are not strictly necessary.
  • Directive 2009/136/EC ("e-Privacy Directive"), which amends Directive 2002/58/EC on privacy in electronic communications.
  • Regulation EU 2016/679 (GDPR), regarding the processing of personal data derived from the use of cookies.
  • Guide on the use of cookies from the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), updated 2023 edition.

Strictly necessary technical cookies are exempt from the consent requirement in accordance with recital 25 of the e-Privacy Directive and the AEPD's interpretation. The remaining cookies require the user's prior, free, specific, informed, and unequivocal consent.

03

Types of cookies we use

3.1 Technical cookies (strictly necessary)

These cookies are essential for the website to function correctly. Without them, certain functions would not be available. They do not require prior consent.

3.2 Analytics cookies (require consent)

These are only activated if the user accepts on the cookie banner. If rejected, Google Analytics operates in cookieless mode and does not write or read data from the device.

3.3 Advertising cookies (require consent)

These are activated only if the user accepts. They allow measuring conversions of Google Ads campaigns and personalizing advertisements.

04

Third-party cookies

Some functionalities of the site may rely on external services that, in turn, may install their own cookies on your device. Currently, the only active third-party services are:

  • Google Fonts — for loading web fonts. Google may record the visitor's IP address when serving the font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Formspree — for processing the contact form. Formspree manages the form data in accordance with its own privacy policy. See Formspree's Privacy Policy.
  • YouTube (embeds) — some project pages incorporate YouTube players. YouTube/Google may install cookies when the user interacts with the player. See Google/YouTube's Privacy Policy.

EficiencIAl Studio does not control the cookies issued by these services. For more information, we recommend that you consult the privacy policies of each provider directly through the links indicated.

How to manage or disable cookies

You may configure your browser to accept, reject, or delete cookies at any time. Below you will find the instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data.
  • Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.

You may also use global privacy preference management tools such as Your Online Choices to manage third-party behavioral advertising cookies.

06

Consequences of disabling cookies

Disabling strictly necessary technical cookies may affect the operation of the website. Specifically:

  • The contact form may not work correctly if CSRF protection is disabled.
  • Some embedded third-party content (such as YouTube video players) may not load correctly if you block third-party cookies.

Disabling analytics or preferences cookies, should they be incorporated in the future, will not affect the basic functionality of the site.

When substantial changes are introduced that require your consent, we will notify you through a notice on the website before such changes become effective.
