Process automation in 2026: pilot, integration and funding
Process automation is not a collection of randomly connected tools. It defines what comes in, which decision is made, which system is updated, which exception a person reviews and how the outcome is measured. Funding may help, but it does not replace that design.
This guide is for companies seeking an implemented and operated solution. If your team wants to learn Zapier, Make or n8n, self-service may be valid; our work starts when you need accountability for the complete workflow.

The official Red.es calendar shows all five published calls as closed. A new voucher or future call should not be presented as available.
The catalogue does include AI-associated categories for specific segments and requirements. For example, AI-associated process management defines functions, training, users and maximum category amounts. Those amounts are not the full cost of every project and do not make every automation eligible.
If you already hold a voucher, verify the award, balance, segment, category, deadlines, agreement, solution and registered digitalisation agent before designing the project. This page does not assume that your company is eligible or that EficiencIAl holds a particular role in a specific call.
Which process to automate first
| Criterion | Buying question |
|---|---|
| Volume | How often does it occur and how much time does it consume? |
| Variability | Are the rules clear or are there many exceptions? |
| Data | Is it available, authorised and sufficiently complete? |
| Risk | What happens if the system is wrong or unavailable? |
| Integration | Which CRM, ERP, email, telephony or database must be updated? |
| Metric | How will the pilot prove value? |
Three ways to approach it
1. Self-service
Your team configures and maintains the tools. This is reasonable when technical capacity exists, risk is low and someone owns documentation, incidents and continuity. You do not need a turnkey service for that scenario.
2. RPA or enterprise platform
It may fit where technology governance, licences and an internal team already exist. The decision depends on systems, scale, security and total cost, not on one technology being universally better.
3. Turnkey implementation
We design the workflow, select components, integrate, validate and, where included in the proposal, operate and maintain it. Scope and price are set after reviewing dependencies, data, vendors and acceptance criteria.
From assessment to production
- Baseline: current time, errors, volume, cost and owners.
- Design: inputs, rules, permissions, human review, logs and contingency.
- Pilot: representative sample, metrics and agreed thresholds.
- Integration: confirmed connections with actual versions and permissions.
- Deployment: gradual traffic, monitoring and rollback procedure.
- Operation: maintenance, changes and review under the contracted service.
What a buyable proposal should contain
- scope and exclusions;
- systems, versions and third-party responsibilities;
- required data and validation basis;
- metrics, acceptance and human review;
- security, privacy, logs and retention;
- schedule, price, maintenance and agreed service levels.
Funding FAQs
Can my project be funded?
Only a current call, award and category can confirm that. A similar catalogue label is insufficient evidence of eligibility.
Do you file the application?
The proposal must state who applies, who justifies and which documents each party supplies. We do not promise an award, payment or administrative acceptance.
Should I wait for funding?
First decide whether the project stands on its operational value. Compatible funding can then be incorporated without distorting scope.
Tell us the process, systems involved and the metric you want to move. We will prepare a B2B assessment covering dependencies, pilot and operation.
